Earle opted for a simplistic ensemble that hinged upon a classic color contrast created by her white Tom Ford minidress and black slingback pumps. In addition to creating a juxtaposition in color, the footwear stood out with a sharply pointed toe, slender slingback strap and ultra-thin high heel. A traditional, rounded, low-cut vamp was featured as part of the silhouette as well.

Earle’s dress, meanwhile, featured a high neckline and hemline reaching her thighs; the garment was constructed with loose sleeve openings revealing her sides. Her hair was styled in gentle blonde waves for the occasion, while dainty jewelry emphasized her minimalist look.

A take on the traditional pump, the enduring slingback heel style exposes more of the foot than the usual pump construction. The style proved popular at the Venice Film Festival this year, with Greta Gerwig, Amal Clooney, Barbara Palvin and more donning interpretations of slingbacks. From Gerwig and Clooney in Prada to Palvin in animal print Betsey Johnson, the stars showcased how versatile the silhouette can get.
