Edward and Akua Enninful’s 72 Magazine To Star Julia Roberts on Debut Cover



Edward and Akua Enninful’s newly launched media venture, EE72, has revealed actress Julia Roberts as the star of its inaugural cover for its first print title,72 Magazine. The quarterly publication will debut on September 12 with distribution across major global cities and support from EE72’s digital platform.

Shot in London by Craig McDean and styled by Elizabeth Stewart, Roberts wears Phoebe Philo and Tiffany & Co. jewellery on the cover. Behind-the-scenes footage featuring Roberts and Edward Enninful will accompany the launch.

Positioned at the intersection of print and digital,72 Magazinemarks EE72’s entry into publishing, aiming to amplify both established icons and emerging creative voices. “Launching with Julia Roberts signals exactly what we’re building: a media company that champions established icons alongside emerging voices,” said Edward Enninful, EE72’s co-founder and chief creative officer, in a press release.

Editorial director Sarah Harris described Roberts in the release as “the kind of modern woman72 Magazinecelebrates: unfiltered, authentic, and timeless. This cover honors that fearless individuality and marks the start of an exciting new chapter.” Harris worked alongside Simone Oliver, EE72’s head of content, to shape the publication’s editorial vision.To mark the release, EE72 will host a series of events during the international fashion week circuit, starting in New York on September 12, followed by London, Milan and Paris.

The celebrations include a series of events co-hosted in partnership with Google Shopping and Moncler in New York, and with Levi’s in London. Enninful will also sign limited-edition copies of the magazine in New York and London.
