Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity’s seven-day Iceland Total Eclipse Cruise (from $9,866) visits the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, the Westfjords, and the northern city of Akureyri before spending two days at sea to find the best positioning for the eclipse.
Ponant
Ponant has planned two eclipse itineraries in the north. On a nine-day voyage (from $10,910) from Reykjavik to Dublin, stopping in the Faroe Islands and the Scottish Isles, French astronaut Jean-François Clervoy will be the special guest on board. Then astronauts Claudie and Jean-Pierre Haigneré will join a 14-day voyage (from $17,880) visiting Svalbard, Jan Mayen, Greenland, and Iceland.
Azamara
Travel from Reykjavik to Montreal on Azamara’s 18-night eclipse cruise (from $6,719), which stops in various destinations in Iceland, Greenland, Newfoundland, and the province of Quebec along the way. The cruise line is known for its Extended Destination Days, offering extra time in port—there are six on this itinerary, as well as an overnight in Quebec.
HX (Hurtigruten Expeditions)
HX’s 16-day Solar Eclipse Expedition 2026 (from $22,870) explores the trifecta of Greenland, Iceland, and Svalbard, including a 10-day stint in East Greenland, where guests will witness the solar eclipse.
Cunard
Cunard is known for its transatlantic voyages, but this special 14-night journey (from $3,539) includes a few extra stops in Belgium, Norway, and Iceland. On the day of the eclipse, the ship will be at port in Reykjavik, where it’ll remain overnight.
Quark Expeditions
Quark’s first solar eclipse voyage (from $21,495) is a 13-day itinerary traveling to Iceland and Greenland with special guest David Baron, a science journalist and broadcaster. There’s also a second voyage—a 17-day adventure (from $31,290) from Greenland to Iceland—with special guest Michael Zeiler, an eclipse cartographer.
Oceanwide Expeditions
Both of Oceanwide’s 14-day Northeast Greenland Solar Eclipse Explorer voyages—one aboard Hondius and the other aboard Plancius (both from $8,550)—are already waitlist-only. However, it’s still worth putting your name down if you’d like to travel to Iceland, Greenland, and Svalbard for the eclipse.
