We love it when Shaquille O’Neal takes delivery of a new car because A) he always busts the balls of the guy delivering it, and B) the car is usually something special to behold. The NBA superstar’s latest car is perhaps the coolest we’ve ever seen in terms of custom-builds, and, of course, watching the delivery on YouTube was as entertaining as always.
The car in question is a C8 Corvette Z06 that’s been lengthened by 20 inches to fit all of Shaq’s 7’1″ frame. Effortless Motors from Riverside, California, which does the work on most of O’Neal’s custom projects, somehow managed to lengthen the C8 Corvette by that much and still keep the car looking completely stock. It’s just… longer, in a way that’s well hidden until you catch a side view of it.

What’s The Story Behind Shaq’s Long Corvette?
According to the video published by Effortless Motors, Shaq originally ordered his stretched Z06 back in March 2025 and was told by the shop that it would take 2–3 weeks. That was obviously an optimistic estimate, as the delivery video we’re watching was shot sometime in August and published on September 1.
Calling it a “delivery video” is a bit misleading, too, as the guys at Effortless Motors accidentally cracked both side windows before the delivery was scheduled, so Shaq was only getting a taste of his new car. They immediately had to take it away again to install new custom side windows that were in the process of being made.
Unfortunately, the video doesn’t divulge any details about exactly how the stretch job was done. The Z06 is, of course, rear-wheel drive, so they didn’t have to deal with a drive shaft, but stretching the frame and then creating custom, extra-long doors and windows must have been a formidable engineering job.
On his test drive, though, Shaq seemed happy with the end result, saying, “Legroom is perfect. I’m the first big man in the Z06. Effortless Motors has done it again!” Indeed, the car sounded amazing as The Big Diesel was revving it during a short drive around the block.
TopSpeed’s Take
We are blessed to be alive at the same time as Shaquille O’Neal. Not only did he give us endless entertainment as one of the best centers the NBA has ever seen, but he’s also followed up his basketball career as a hilarious analyst on Inside The NBA, and he’s generally considered to be one of the nicest all-around ex-players. In the delivery video above, he can be seen hugging the relatives of the shop’s owners when his car gets delivered, thanking everyone for the job they did.
The real question is what’s next? In addition to his elongated Corvette, Shaq has a fleet of Cadillac EVs, the world’s only two-door Lucid Air, and many other cool, custom rides. He seems to be cooling on Teslas and enjoying a General Motors kick lately, so maybe a lifted Silverado EV is in the works.
