Lauren Sánchez Bezos, wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, is making a case for beach waves this fall.
Amid the rush of New York Fashion Week, the 55-year-old former journalist stepped out in New York City on Wednesday night for a dinner honoring the release of Sofia Coppola’s new book, “Chanel Haute Couture,” and she did so with long, chocolate brown extensions. Her light, honey-colored ends brushed past her shoulders as she stopped for a photo on the way into the Double’s Club.
Bezos’ hairstyle has become somewhat of a signature look for her, drawn-out curls, side part and all. She even wore the effortless aesthetic multiple times throughout her wedding weekend in Venice back in June. Bezos also kept a similar hair coloring there, only the body of her hair was a touch darker with choppy highlights. In New York, her hair was balayeged.
Her makeup, most likely the work of either Buster Knight or Laura Mele, was, for the most part, hidden behind a pair of wide Chanel shades. However, her peach-toned gloss and matching blush could be seen. Once inside the venue, Bezos ditched the shades to reveal her wispy eyelashes and darkened brows.
Inside the event, Bezos took off her dark shades to reveal her makeup look.
The philanthropist’s pale lip color stuck out amongst a sea of bold lips, with attendees such as Kirsten Dunst and renowned supermodel Iman, who invited the start of autumn with burgundy lip shades. Her side part, however, was the unofficial beauty trend of the night. Gracie Abrams put her own twist on the controversial styling technique, pinning her hair in a low bun behind her head.
Bezos opted for peach-colored makeup.

For years, Bezos has worked with Los Angeles-based hairstylist Sophie Rose, whose client list includes on-air sports reporter Malika Andrews, actor Jon Lovitz and model Rochelle Aytes. Rose has also worked on the coiled curls of Melanie Hamrick, Mick Jagger’s girlfriend, for several red carpets. The hair artist, herself, became the face of big, bouncy curls, partnering with drugstore brand Zotos Professional to launch its “All About Curls” campaign last year.
Wednesday night’s outing was one of Bezos’ first public appearances since her wedding in Italy.
