WWE SmackDown Live Results And Highlights On 9/12/25

R-Truth Confronts Brock Lesnar

  • Booker T and Vic Joseph were on comedy, which I absolutely love.
  • There was a huge pop for Brock Lesnar as there remains no cancellation in sight. Fans then chanted “You suck!” before Lesnar could even say a word. Lesnar was interrupted by Truth.
  • Lesnar got huge heat for saying he didn’t know who Truth was, despite the fact that the two have shared the ring together. Truth introduced himself as Cena’s older brother Ron Cena.
  • Truth said Cena went crazy this year. “He made a little kid cry!” Brock corpsed a few times during the segment. The two seemed off comedically, but it only made the segment funnier. Lesnar stuck Truth with an F5 and ripped his pants.

Brock Lesnar-R-Truth Opening Segment Grade: B

Sami Zayn Def. Rey Fenix

  • Sami Zayn was talking to somebody off camera. Between that somebody “wrestling around the world” and also being a challenger in the Sami Zayn US Open, I was certain it was not a top star. I was right. It was Rey Fenix.
  • On-paper, Fenix vs. Sami is a great match. They did not disappoint out of the gate. Joseph talked up his bona fides, including being a former AAA Fusion champion.
  • The referee counted a brilliant nearfall that tricked the Norfolk audience into thinking it was three. But Sami kicked out at the last second. Fenix followed up with a double stomp on Zayn while he was draped over the top rope.
  • Fenix barely kicked out of a Blue Thunder Bomb. Fans chanted “Ref, you suck!” Fenix hesitated, and Zayn took advantage with a Helluva Kick for the win.

Giulia Vs. B-Fab Ends In A No Contest

  • Booker T put Kiana James over as a boss dating back to her days in NXT. James got involved early in the match, before the bell rang, stomping B-Fab alongside Giulia.
  • Giulia and James worked over B-Fab until Michin’s music hit. Michin hit the ring with a kendo stick and ran off the heels.

Jade Cargill Vs. Tiffany Stratton Ends In Double Countout

  • What an ugly start to this match. Jade Cargill had Tiffany Stratton up for a suplex, but Stratton kneed Cargill. The two crumbled and Stratton landed awkwardly on her feet.
  • At one point, Cargill ran flying outside the ring even though Stratton didn’t throw her.
  • This was a completely different match when WWE came back from commercial. Cargill and Stratton brawled their way into fans’ hearts. Fans were split, but there were loud “Let’s go Jade!” chants. Jade speared Stratton through the barricade and the match ended in a double countout. After the match, Nia Jax hit the ring and destroyed both competitors.

Jade Cargill vs. Tiffany Stratton Grade: B-

Drew McIntyre Def. Randy Orton

  • WWE aired a great video package telling the origin story of Brock Lesnar and John Cena (Part I.)
  • Orton and McIntyre’s entrances took forever, but they finally started with about 20 minutes left in the show.
  • Drew McIntyre worked over Orton’s left leg as fans chanted “Let’s go Randy!” Booker T went on an entertaining rant about how McIntyre held it down during the pandemic, and didn’t need to be flanked by Evolution.
  • Orton hit a back suplex on McIntyre on the table. Fans chanted “One more time,” and Orton obliged. I think they wanted the table to break, but that wasn’t going to happen with a back suplex.
  • McIntyre and Orton exchanged finishers, but both were able to roll out of the ring. McIntyre was able to hit a second Claymore for the win. McIntyre lined up McIntyre against the announce table, just like he did to Cody Rhodes. Right on cue, Cody Rhodes hit the ring and ran off McIntyre.
