Pininfarina’s New 62-Foot Yacht Is Sleek, Stylish, and Spacious

Pininfarina has collaborated with some of the world’s best marques, creating iconic models for Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, and Porsche, to name but a few. The Italian design studio has also partnered with top-tier yachtmakers, penning vessels for the likes of Rossinavi, Oceanco, and Wally. This time around, it has teamed up with Brazilian shipyard NX Boats.

The duo just unveiled a 62-foot yacht that combines Italian style with Brazilian innovation. The new NX 62 follows in the footsteps of the smaller, 44-foot NX 44 that debuted in 2023, but is obviously longer and more spacious than its predecessor.

Inspired by, you guessed it, automotive design, the newcomer cuts a powerful, contemporary silhouette with sleek, aerodynamic lines and sculpted curves. NX Boats says the sporty and elegant body not only impresses visually but also favors performance. It did not share any performance specs, though.

Onboard, the NX62 is designed to feel like a much larger vessel. “With the NX 62, our goal was to create a yacht that feels both expansive and intimate; where every line, surface, and detail embodies purposeful design,” Paolo Trevisan, vice president of design at Pininfarina, said in a statement. “We wanted owners and guests to experience the grandeur of a larger vessel within a more versatile category.

The full-beam layout includes an expansive living space with wide windows that afford panoramic views of the water, as well as four well-appointed guest cabins. The interior showcases premium materials and high-end finishes, with Pininfarina’s signature elegance permeating the spaces throughout. As for the exterior, the aft deck is described as an “open-air social hub” that can be used for dining, entertaining, or lounging. It flows onto a beach club with fold-out terraces and a swim platform. At the opposite end, a plush lounge is tucked into the bow.

“I wanted the largest salon ever seen on a 60-foot yacht, but with the grandeur and feeling of being on an 80,” adds NX Boats founder and CEO Jonas Moura. “I dreamed of fully maximizing the spaces, with wide panoramic windows revealing a 360-degree view of the water, and with the best bow utilization in the category.”

NX Boats showed off a detailed scale of the NX 62 at the São Paulo Boat Show last week, but has not yet shared when the first unit will hit the water.
