At least one person is dead and multiple injured after a shooter opened fire at an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement field office in Dallas on Wednesday morning, authorities said, and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed the suspected shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

A shooter opened fire from an adjacent building into the ICE facility around 6:40 a.m. CDT, the Dallas Police Department said.
One victim died at the scene and two were transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds, DPD said.
Noem confirmed the suspected shooter was dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News the victims were “potentially detainees,” saying they were not ICE agents.
McLaughlin also said the same facility saw a “viable bomb threat” about one month ago.
