It’s becoming a tradition for Jaden Smith to attend Louis Vuitton fashion shows accompanied by a statement bag.
On Tuesday, the artist attended the label’s women’s spring 2026 runway presentation during Paris Fashion Week, while carrying an artisanal handbag straight from Louis Vuitton’s cruise 2026 collection, which debuted in May. The accessory, created in collaboration with artist and designer Thomas Roger, is a nod to childhood.

“I often tried to impress [myself and the others], to find curiosity in the woods, to find something new. And I realize simple objects are smart objects, useful. I try to find the essential, the meaning. I wonder if there is a way to find a new innocence. Can I create assemblies that reflect the intuitive construction of the mind? I have to find what led me to this life. Becoming a happy child [again], which creates spontaneous, uncontrolled and imperfect assemblies,” Roger described the creative process behind the bag on his website.
Shaped like a wooden basket, the bag is crafted from poplar wood, birch dowels, beeswax, monogrammed canvas and leather.

“In the hands of these bold muses, they [the bags] become the finishing touch of ensembles that blur the lines between fiction and reality,” Louis Vuitton described them in a statement.
Smith paired the statement bag with a head-to-toe Louis Vuitton look, starring a dark blue denim jacket with chest pockets worn over a black top, paired with matching loose-fitting denim jeans. Both pieces featured a repeating monogram pattern. He accessorized with reflective sunglasses, a chain necklace and black boots.
In 2024, Smith, who is now the men’s creative director at Christian Louboutin, attended the Louis Vuitton spring 2025 fashion show carrying the label’s Petite Malle handbag, which debuted as part of the same collection, designed by creative director Nicolas Ghesquière.
