Victoria Beckham Opens the House of VB at Selfrides Corner Shop


LONDONVictoria Beckham is letting everyone into her world, on screen with her Netflix show that premiers on Thursday and a Selfridges Corner Shop pop-up until Nov. 1.

House of VB at Selfridges will be a walk-through the British designer’s fashion, beauty and fragrances universe and takes slight inspiration from her home and store.

“I wanted to create an immersive experience that would feel like an extension of my creative world, but also of my home — intimate and full of personal touches, with a real focus on architectural lines, rich textures and colors,” Beckham said.

The designer has made the space feel like home down to the finishing touches such as the custom doorbell that plays a message from Beckham. 

The pop-up features an exclusive capsule collection called The Dressing Room that’s made up of the items that Beckham wears in the Netflix documentary, from cashmere knits, crisp shirting and denim to cocktail dresses and eveningwear. There are also pieces from her fall 2025 collection on the rails.

A special staircase has been installed by the window, with each step containing a pair of mules, a handbag, a bangle or a fragrance bottle.

New colorways of the mules, cross-body bags and soft suede totes have been specifically made for Selfridges.

Beckham has created a room in the Corner Shop called The Powder Room that carries the Victoria Beckham Beauty line along with beauty exclusives and immersive activations: a light installation inspired by the fragrance Rêverie 21:50 and a Dream Wall that invites guests to note down their aspirations on cards that replicate the shape of the Rêverie fragrance bottle.

Judd Crane, executive director of buying and brand at the department store, said Selfridges has been working with Beckham and her team for more than 15 years. In 2008, Selfridges launched a collection of the designer’s dresses that sold out.

“Since then, we have seen Victoria Beckham evolve to become a leading independent luxury fashion and beauty brand. I’m so proud to celebrate the entire Victoria Beckham universe, as the Corner Shop becomes the unmissable House of VB,” he added.

Beckham’s Netflix documentary got greenlit last summer. The documentary series follows her career in the fashion and beauty industry.

Nicola Howson, who was behind “Beckham,” “99,” “Save Our Squad” and “Ronnie O’Sullivan: The Edge of Everything,” is an executive producer on the project along with Julia Nottingham, the BAFTA-nominated film producer famed for “Pamela: A Love Story” and “The Greatest Night in Pop.”

David Beckham’s 2023 Netflix documentary series “Beckham,” which chronicled the rise of the soccer star and his family, was a hit, racking up more than 12.4 million total views.

“I’m just scratching the surface [business wise]. So I would never say never about another documentary,” the fashion designer told WWD in an interview in February.
