Yesterday, House of Craft rolled on with a full slate of conversations and crowds for day two. The day opened with Hodinkee Magazine’s Editorial Director, Malaika Crawford, sitting down with Thom Betteridge, Editor-in-Chief of i-D Magazine, talking through the ins and outs of creating a magazine in 2025. This was followed by Andy Hoffman recording a live episode of The Business of Watches with Analog Shift founder James Lamdin (coming soon to your podcast feeds), where they delved into the latest trends and challenges in the vintage market.
As the day went on, the conversation turned toward design and storytelling. James Stacey and Ben Clymer shared the stage for a relaxed discussion on collecting and how Ben curated the exhibition before welcoming legendary designer, entrepreneur, and best-selling author Tony Fadell to close the night. Fadell, who first appeared on Talking Watches more than a decade ago, was the engineer behind the iPod and founder of Nest. He joined Ben for a fun and interesting conversation that spanned collecting watches, his passion for Ressence, Steve Jobs, wearing a Patek 5208P in front of Thierry Stern, the future of diamonds in watchmaking, and much more.
