LiveWire S2 Del Mar, Mulholland, And Alpinista Just Became Cheaper Than Ever

No matter how good they get, electric motorcycles still get a lot of criticism and side eyes. While some of it is due to issues like range anxiety, the other contributing factor is the high MSRP. Just take the Kawasaki Ninja Z e-1 for reference. You’re getting 125cc-type performance for 700-800cc middleweight MSRPs.

Interestingly, though, manufacturers are trying to counter this with incentives, and Harley-Davidson-owned LiveWire is leading the charge here. The bikemaker has just slashed the prices of its EVs for a limited period. Here’s what you need to know.

The LiveWire S2 Range Now Starts At $9,999

Thanks To A ‘Twist And Go’ Incentive Program

The EV maker has announced a new ‘Twist And Go’ incentive program, applicable from August 28 to October 31, 2025. Under this promotion, the prices of the entire S2 range receive a sizable cut. The S2 Mulholland and S2 Alpinista cost $10,999 and $11,999, after receiving promotional discounts of $5,500 and $4,000, respectively.

But we’re most impressed by the S2 Del Mar’s $9,999 promotional price tag. That is a whopping $6,250 less than the original price. This also makes it the most capable electric motorcycle under $10,000 today.

LiveWire’s S2 Range Also Comes With Two New Features

In addition to the promotion, LiveWire says the S2 range will come with two new features. First is a reverse mode, which helps you move rearward effortlessly. This should help maneuver in tight spaces. The other one is ‘Roll-Forward Regenerative Braking’. It lets you roll the throttle forward to activate full regenerative braking and potentially improve range.

Speaking of which, the S2 trio hides a 10.5kWh battery. It’s good for a maximum range of just over 110 miles in city usage. Joining hands with this is a mid-mounted motor with 84 horsepower and over 190 pound-feet. Thanks to that torque, LiveWire claims a face-melting 0 to 62 mph time of under 3.5 seconds for all three EVs.
