Jacob Elordi returned to a familiar favorite at the BFI London Film Festival. The actor arrived at the Royal Festival Hall premiere of “Frankenstein” on Monday in Bottega Veneta’s Roma Lace-Up shoes — the same Intrecciato leather pair he wore to Venice just six weeks ago.
The Roma lace-ups come in polished black Intrecciato leather — a house signature woven style that’s celebrating its 50th year. The shoe features a low heel and a squared-off toe, with the woven panels forming a clean grid across the upper.

Elordi wore them with a black three-piece suit under a long, oversized coat. He added Cartier jewelry — the Juste un Clou and Love rings — and square black acetate sunglasses from Chanel.
It’s not the first time the Australian actor has relied on the style. Elordi wore the same pair at the Venice Film Festival at the end of August for the “Frankenstein” premiere. The repeat fits his history with the house — he became a Bottega Veneta ambassador in May 2024 and has made its shoes a regular part of his press and red-carpet rotation.

His footwear choice also lands during a milestone year for the Italian label. Bottega Veneta’s Intrecciato weaving technique — a house code introduced in the 1970s — is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Creative director Louise Trotter spotlighted the craft in her September runway debut, calling it “the most beautiful thing about Bottega Veneta… it’s really a workshop,” per WWD’s Miles Socha’s review of the spring 2026 show.

Elordi has embraced the code consistently. Earlier this year, he wore the brand’s cream Daddy loafers at the Australian premiere of “The Narrow Road to the Deep North,” and he’s been spotted in its Orbit Flash sneakers off duty. On Monday, the repeat of the Roma Lace-Ups signaled something simple but deliberate: in a sea of new-season releases, the actor is sticking with a signature.
“Frankenstein” opens in select theaters Oct. 17 and on Netflix Nov. 7. Elordi stars as the creature in Guillermo del Toro’s interpretation of the classic Mary Shelley novel.
