There’s no doubt that every Ferrari proves to be special in its own way, whether it be the everyday capabilities of the V12-powered Pursangue FUV or the extreme hybrid performance of the 986-horsepower SF90 Stradale.
But among all the supercars and hypercars that roll off Ferrari’s Maranello production line, the Icona Series models carry an extra touch of significance as they pay homage to the brand’s most historic examples, with models like the Monza SP1 and SP2, and the Daytona SP3. And while any car collector would jump at the opportunity to buy one of these four-wheel legends straight from Ferrari, production allocations are given to hand-chosen clients with recognized collections and a love for the brand. The team at Carrio Motor Cars is proud to offer the opportunity to join an exclusive group of owners by showcasing this 2022 Ferrari Monza SP1 as part of its inventory for sale on duPont REGISTRY.

Inspired by Ferrari’s 1950s race-bred roadsters like the 750 Monza, 250 Testarossa, and 166 MM, the Monza SP1 and its two-seater counterpart, the Monza SP2, debuted in 2018 with a combined total of 499 examples. This Monza SP1 sports a heritage-inspired configuration courtesy of Ferrari Tailor Made New York, with a vibrant Rosso Corsa base coat and a Livrea Bianco Avus racing stripe that runs down the car’s center. Its elongated front-end design sits aggressively on 21-inch forged diamond-polished wheels. And for the owner looking to spend some time on the track with their new Ferrari Monza SP1, the car comes complete with the factory Racing Driver Set (helmets, gloves, etc.)

The Monza SP1’s cabin is partially exposed through its open-top, windshield-less design. It comes optioned with a large GT2 monocoque racing seat layered in Peccary Beige leather with matching Rosso Corsa racing harnesses. The single-seater cockpit is reminiscent of that of a modern-day fighter jet, completely surrounded by lightweight carbon and a slew of controls that unlock the true performance potential of the Ferrari Monza SP1.

The Ferrari Monza SP1’s jaw-dropping design is backed up by serious Italian performance. Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 6.5L V12 that unleashes 809 horsepower and revs past 8,500 rpm with an exhaust note straight out of Ferrari’s racing heritage. With all that power sent to the rear wheels through a lightning-quick 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, the SP1 sprints from 0-62 mph in just 2.9 seconds and pushes on to a top speed over 186 mph.
