Rolls-Royce just made a one-of-a-kind new Spectre in honor of a special client, or that client’s dog, to be more specific.
Bailey is a Labrador-Golden Retriever mix and, like all doggos, perfect in every way. Now he’ll be nearly immortalized, with a car in his name and lots of reminders, on and in that car, of his existence. Bailey’s portrait is in the middle of the rear seats, for example, and his paw prints are on the outside of the Spectre. The car itself is painted in colors inspired by Bailey as well, with the roof painted in Crystal Fusion, a dark tan, and the rest of the car painted in Crystal Fusion over Beautiful Bailey, a lighter color that Rolls-Royce said was inspired by the “soft fur on Bailey’s ear.”
The buyers of the Rolls-Royce Spectre Bailey said they were pleased with the results.
“We are lifelong car enthusiasts, yes, but we are also lifelong animal lovers, and our dog Bailey is a cherished member of our family,” the buyers of the new Spectre said in a news release. Rolls-Royce did not identify them except to say they lived in the United States. “When we started our Rolls-Royce Spectre commission, we saw the opportunity to create something beautiful which would remind us of him for decades to come. Working with the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective, we were surprised at every turn with their wonderful ideas—the wood inlay, or the paw prints on the sill—which added so much to the experience.”

Bailey’s image in between the rear seats took over four months to compose, Rolls-Royce said, and is made of over 180 pieces of veneer, including four pieces of veneer for the dog’s tongue alone.
The Spectre is Rolls-Royce’s first all-electric vehicle, powered by two electric motors that make 577 horsepower and having a WLTP range of 329 miles. The Spectre Bailey was made as part of Rolls-Royce’s Private Office in New York, a Meatpacking District space where clients can go to design the Rolls-Royce of their dreams, working with Rolls-Royce designers. The cars are then custom-made over a period of months. Rolls-Royce did not disclose the price of the Spectre Bailey, but the base Spectre starts at around $400,000, so the Spectre Bailey was certainly much more.
Phil Fabre de la Grange, who is Rolls-Royce’s head of bespoke, said that the Spectre Bailey was a “charming commission that reaffirms that inspiration can come from anywhere.
“Our team was absolutely delighted to collaborate with our long-standing clients to bring this concept to life in a playful yet timeless manner, reflecting the special place Bailey holds in their hearts,” Fabre de la Grange said.
