Yacht Presence to Have a Commanding Presence While Exploring

The latest bluewater-capable superyacht from Cantiere delle Marche is in the water. The yacht Presence launched recently, marking the flagship of its Acciaio series.

“Acciaio” means “steel” in Italian. As a result, the series relies on steel hull construction. However, the name also references Cantiere delle Marche’s focus on true passagemaking projects, capable of taking on challenging seas and remaining independent from shore for long periods. This Acciaio 130 megayacht, from the drawing boards of Hydro Tec, has a high, flared bow for knocking down big seas, for instance. The slight rake of her wheelhouse windows and the overhang above them, meanwhile, help protect visibility while navigating. As for navigating, upcoming sea trials should confirm a range exceeding 5,000 nautical miles at 10 knots, under MAN power. A bulbous bow aids in seakeeping while underway, too.

Measuring a little over 131 feet (40 meters) from bow to transom, the yacht Presence further has a healthy volume of 388 gross tons. Few details are available about the interior, which the owner tailored with Giorgio M. Cassetta. Based on what Cantiere delle Marche revealed around the time that construction began, however, 10 people in the owner’s party should have staterooms. Cassetta does further say that the look and feel throughout the four decks avoids ostentation and formality. “The interiors have been conceived to be contemporary and fresh,” he explains. “They exude a playful and vibrant spirit, creating an atmosphere that feels both inviting and full of character.” Overall, Cassetta continues, the yacht Presence “is elegant yet delightfully relaxed.”

Cantiere delle Marche says more information will be available in the coming months. In the meantime, Vasco Buonpensiere, its co-founder and CEO, notes, “Our shipyard continues to demonstrate its ability to interpret and redefine the concept of the explorer yacht in multiple ways.” The owners’ representatives from Arcon Yachts agree. Richard Kaye, the project manager, points out that the yacht Presence is the third Acciaio his team has built with the shipyard. “We value this continued partnership and the consistent quality and performance resulting from our joint efforts,” he says.
