Sublue Vapor Belongs in Your Yacht’s Watertoy Fleet

More electric watertoys are hitting the market, with the Sublue Vapor being the latest. Sublue manufactures small, handheld underwater scooters that stow easily in even compact toy lockers. Weighing 19 pounds (8.6 kilograms), you can also toss this scooter in a tender to take along on a day at the beach.

Recheargable batteries provide up to an hour’s worth of fun, and handlebar grips make it easy to maneuver. Another nice feature is an LCD display providing details on speed, depth, direction, water temperature, and battery life.

Learn more about the Sublue Vapor in this month’s Megayacht News newsletter. Our monthly newsletter features stories you won’t find here on the website.

So, for instance, you’ll learn about the Professional Yachting Association’s Superyacht Reality social media campaign. It’s an effort to help address misunderstandings about working on yachts. It’s not a complaint session, though. Rather, it’s to help attract the next generation. You’ll also learn about a recent partnership between U.S.-based Ikonic Yachts and Netherlands-based Lekker Boats. It will pique the interest of owners who are no longer content with “just” tenders, instead seeking super-fun dayboats to accompany their mothership. Plus, we update you on the first-ever sailing superyacht to lack both a combustion engine and a diesel genset. She’s the performance ketch Project Zero, nearing launch in Europe. Finally, if you’re weighing a refit in Italy, make sure to read the details about the annual YARE event (Yachting Aftersales & Refit Experience) taking place next month. It’s a well-regarded conference featuring hands-on workshops and one-to-one meetings.

Finally, the monthly newsletter lets you opt into our popular weekly news digest email. That way you never miss a story. You get the first word about upcoming exclusive website features and interviews, too.
