To date, all of Pearl Yachts’ semi-custom models are less than 95 feet (29 meters) LOA. That’s about to change. Not only is the Pearl 100 Hybrid yacht its new flagship, but also its first with hybrid propulsion. Simultaneously, this flagship strives to redefine the luxuries that modest-size megayacht owners and guests should enjoy.

Employing diesel-electric propulsion was important to the British builder for a few reasons. Firstly, it allows for a handful of operational modes that are cleaner for the air. The 97-footer (29.43-meter) can cruise on the propulsion package’s electric motors alone, for instance. The yacht’s captain can additionally use the electric motors by themselves for low-speed maneuvers or short repositioning trips. Secondly, the Pearl 100 Hybrid yacht can remain at anchor or in a marina overnight without tapping her gensets to keep the lights and air conditioning running. Equally important, whenever the electric motors are operating, the yacht is quieter than when under diesel power. All the while, the Pearl 100 Hybrid yacht can still cover the distances owners may want by using the diesels. This includes covering an expected 328 nautical miles at her 20-knot cruising speed.

While Dixon Yacht Design is responsible for the engineering and styling of this raised-pilothouse motoryacht, Kelly Hoppen is handling interiros. One of the areas clients will appreciate the most is the master suite. Forward on the main deck, it’s full beam, plus has access to a private alfresco area. Steps additionally lead up to the primary foredeck lounge, on the flying-bridge level, a large area with sunpads facing a settee. Although similar access is aboard the Pearl 82, the Pearl 100 Hybrid yacht still stands out for providing a level of luxury typically not found in this size range.

Two further amenities make the new small superyacht series a standout. On the flying bridge, for instance, Pearl Yachts offers a standard wellness area, with Tecnogym equipment. It’s conveniently opposite a hot tub, a welcome spot to soak post-workout. It’s also conveniently near a shaded dining area, beneath the hardtop, a nice option for breakfast with a view. The other amenity that should make buyers sit up and take notice is a second master below decks. Here, too, it’s full beam. Two twins and a VIP take care of the rest of friends and family.

Run by a crew of four, the Pearl 100 Hybrid yacht offers a choice of three interior packages. All from Kelly Hoppen Interiors, they incorporate different tones and textures. Indulgence, for instance, is replete with deep, rich colors. Modern, meanwhile, introduces metallic accents amid a soothing ambience. Monochrome (shown) is a study in black and white.

With a sunroof, folding aft-deck terraces, and a tender garage, the Pearl 100 Hybrid yacht comes with Pearl Yachts’ standard five-year warranty.
