Given that “odyssey” means a journey, the name of the model representing Princess Yachts’ renewed commitment to megayachts is fitting. The Princess 106 Odyssey yacht series is the first of what the British builder intends to focus on in the years to come.
Yachts in the 80-foot-plus (24-meter-plus) segment have certainly been part of the shipyard’s past. The 131-foot Princess 40M series (below), for instance, debuted in 2011. Five years later, the 100-foot Princess 30M series premiered in the UK, with her American debut following in 2018. Currently, the yard has the X95 series, which made its Monaco Yacht Show premiere last month. According to Will Green, Princess Yachts’ CEO, the 106-foot (32-meter) Princess 106 Odyssey yacht is “a return to building yachts above 100 feet, without losing the elegance of design or characteristic seakeeping that define us.”
Like each of the prior projects, the Princess 106 Odyssey yacht features naval architecture by Princess’ longtime partner, Olesinski. She additionally shares some styling with the builder’s more traditionally looking motoryachts.
Although anticipated performance figures aren’t yet available, Princess does say that the semi-custom superyacht has a fast-displacement hull. That should translate to some good distances for a project of her LOA.

Customers have a variety of alfresco and interior layouts from which to choose, of course, as well as décor materials. For example, the master suite can have an anteroom serving as a cozy lounge or office, or simply a grand entrance. To raise the level of luxury, Princess has conceived the en suite bath as a spa-like area. Close friends or family in the owners’ party can have a spacious suite below decks, too. The VIP is full beam, though if a big crowd is coming along for cruises, the suite splits into two cabins. This therefore provides four guest staterooms instead of three below decks.
Out on deck, meanwhile, the Princess 106 Odyssey yacht offers more ways to tailor things. Entirely custom-made furniture can transform the upper deck into a dramatic indoor-outdoor lounge. Floor-to-ceiling windows, along with a skylight, make it look and feel airier. A hot tub is possible fully aft, while dining for 10 can take place under the shade of the extended overhang. Back on the main deck, fold-down balconies make days at anchor more enjoyable.
With a captain and crew head count of five, the 106 Odyssey will start construction on contract. As for the future megayacht models, Green hints, “The 106 Odyssey is the first in a new family of 30-meter plus yachts,” prioritizing volume and a family feel.
