What’s in a name? A new yacht, it turns out.
Ferretti Group brand Custom Line has renamed its successful planing line “Saetta,” unveiling a new 128-foot model under the new moniker to cement the rebrand.
Meaning “arrow” or “dart” in English, Saetta reflects the sporty ethos of the line. The range currently comprises three other models, spanning 106, 120, and 140 feet, respectively. The 106 has proven extremely popular, with the Italian yard launching the 25th hull this past April. Custom Line also launched the 140-foot flagship of the planing line back in 2022.
Featuring exteriors by SY Design and interiors by ACPV Architects, the new Seatta 128 carries the same sleek DNA as its predecessors. With a beam of just over 25 feet, the tri-deck cruiser can accommodate up to 20 guests in four cabins and one large owner’s suite with a walk-around bed. It is also equipped with four crew cabins and accompanying en suites.

Expansive glazing ensures the living quarters receive an abundance of natural light while affording sweeping ocean views. Each hull is highly customizable, with a “semi-custom” approach that allows owners to pick from a wide array of interior finishes, layouts, and furnishings.
The highlight of the exterior spaces is the skylounge on the upper deck, which can be fully opened up to the alfresco dining area aft. At the opposite end, a generous foredeck of 269 square feet is outfitted with a lounge and Jacuzzi. At the stern, meanwhile, a dual-mode transom combines a garage, a submersible platform, and a beach club into one single system.
Powered by twin MTUs rated at 2,638 hp each, the yacht has an economic cruising speed of 11 knots, a cruising speed of 19 knots, a top speed of 22 knots, and a range of 1,000 nautical miles. The planing hull, of course, means the vessel rises up and skims over the water, rather than plowing through waves.
The first Saetta 128 is currently under construction and is expected to hit the seas in 2026. Custom Line also has five other Saetta models on order, including two 106-footers, one 120-footer, and two 140-footers. The name may have changed, but the popularity certainly hasn’t waned.
