Ordered forfeited and set for auction In 17 days, Amadea is among the largest private yachts available to acquire. The high profile of this 348-foot (106-meter), currently in San Diego, make her of significant interest. Traditional auctions and government auctions alike typically see a good amount of information become public, to support the sale. An entire website details the rooms spread across Amadea’s six decks, plus provides in-depth explanations of how to register to bid. Of all the imagery and information, though, the video tour of Amadea is one of the best we’ve seen.
Built under the code name Project Mistral eight years ago, Amadea has been in American waters for the past three years. A yearslong process saw her arrested in Fiji and transported, related to sanctions against Russians for the invasion of Ukraine.

Given her extraordinary volume, which is just over 4,400 gross tons, Amadea has expansive, impressive areas. The impressive design actually starts outside. For instance, the head of an albatross—in metal—extends directly from the tip of her bow. The albatross’ wings lay flat against the sides of the bow, too.
Mostly, the video tour of Amadea concentrates on her interior. A handy and unobtrusive icon at the lower right shows exactly where the camera is at all times. It’s especially helpful for the main-deck staterooms. It would be easily for someone to mistakenly assume the VIP suite, full beam and with an ample dressing area, is the master suite.
Five staterooms in total are on the main deck, since Amadea has accommodations for 22. The remaining guest staterooms are on the bridge deck. As for the master suite, it’s just one part of an overall owners’ deck, one level up from the main deck. An inviting private spa, a gym, a dining area with a bar, and a sizable lounge with a fireplace additionally are on this private deck.
Among everything you see on the tour of Amadea, the winter patio (top) might elicit the biggest surprise. On the sundeck, it’s a light-filled, enclosed area for dining regardless of regional climate. Painted greenery, full-height glass walls, and several skylights set the scene, as does a chandelier above the table.

Be sure to watch the full tour of Amadea for a good look at the tech and crew areas, too. Seldom do you get to see not just an ample staff cabin, but also a well-outfitted gym for the 36 crewmembers.
Notably, the auction is the first stateside sale of a yacht related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
