It’s hard to believe it, but New York Fashion Week (or, rather, what’s left of it) is again upon us. With so many brands showing either abroad or off-schedule, the week needed a major moment. Enter former Vogue UK EIC Edward Enninful with his debut collection for Moncler. It’s not the first time Enninful has collaborated with Moncler, but it is the stylist and editor’s first foray into design—and if anyone can make puffers chic, it is he.
A collaboration with Enninful’s recently launched media and entertainment company EE72, the Moncler x EE72 collection marries couture-inspired silhouettes with technical expertise and thoughtful modularity. One piece, a trench coat, comes with a removable outer puffer that can be removed and carried like a backpack thanks to interior straps.

Lensed by photographer Tyler Mitchell and starring model Adut Akech, the striking campaign offers a masterclass in staying chic in the harshest of elements, be it a blizzard or a sandstorm. “Like Tyler, Adut is someone I have worked with since they were just starting out,” Enninful tells Robb Report. “She has this incredible strength of spirit, and her beauty just radiates. She immediately captured the woman we are designing for; resilient, independent, and innovative.”
“Working with Moncler has allowed me to push the boundaries of my creativity,” says Enninful. “With this collection, I wanted to combine the codes of the house with my own vision, imagining an extreme new world with a glamorous hero at its center.” Indeed, the industry has been anxiously awaiting Enninful’s every post-Vogue move. Despite the multihyphenate adding “designer” to his resume, shoots are still where the talent feels most at home.

“Being on set is one of my favorite places to be; it’s where collaboration crystallizes, and where a team can create magic like nowhere else,” he says. “Watching the collection we had worked so hard on coming to life surrounded by some of my favorite creative collaborators was a very special moment. Everyone brought such openness and positivity to the set, it made it easy to exchange ideas and bring this universe to fruition.”
