Azamara Cruises is reintroducing its Azamara Ashore land programs. Between 2026 and 2028, the cruise line is launching 17 new pre- and post-cruise land programs, six of which are brand new for 2026.
With the latest additions, Azamara is now offering 84 core programs across Africa, Oceania, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Each program is specially curated for the cruise line. Guests can choose from seamless hotel stays, immersive city stays offering two-night cultural discoveries at select ports, and extended AzAmazing Journeys, which provide three to six nights of exploration in bucket-list destinations.
“At Azamara, every journey is designed to be more than a passing visit, it’s an opportunity to truly connect with the places visited and the people who call them home,” said Dondra Ritzenthaler, CEO of Azamara Cruises, in a statement. “The relaunch of Azamara Ashore is a direct response to what guests have been asking for, deeper, more immersive experiences that allow them to spend more time in each destination and engage with it in a more natural, unhurried way.”
Highlights of Azamara’s Exclusive AzAmazing Journeys include:
- Victoria Falls & Chobe National Park with Micato Safaris: This journey extends beyond the sea and explores South Africa with an award-winning safari company. Guests travel through Zimbabwe to Botswana to witness Victoria Falls, and enjoy safari game drives through Chobe National Park.
- Machu Picchu, Cusco & Hiram Bingham Train with Coltur Peru: Travelers experience Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley of the Peruvian Andes, engaging with master artisans and guardians of Andean tradition. The journey culminates with a ride on the Hiram Bingham train.
- Wondrous Cappadocia with Tura Turizm: This journey gives guests a chance to stay in carefully selected hotels with convenient access to Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar, complemented by authentic dining in atmospheric local restaurants. Travelers also enjoy small-group access to cultural treasures, from extended time inside Hagia Sophia to artisan pottery and carpet traditions in Cappadocia, paired with premium cave-style accommodations overlooking the valleys.
New for 2026, Azamara has also partnered with luggage shipping service Ship&Play. Guests can send their bags door-to-door from home or a carrier location directly to their stateroom or hotel, with delivery timed before or after the cruise and supported by a dedicated seven-day cruise concierge team. As an added incentive, guests who booked an AzAmazing Journey or City Stay package also receive a $50 per person luggage voucher when booked in advance.
