ISA Gran Turismo 68M Yacht Gets Going for Grand Cruising in 2028

One of the best-known yacht styles from ISA Yachts continues to attract admirers. An ISA Gran Turismo 68M yacht has just started construction. In fact, the shipyard celebrated the keel-laying ceremony yesterday. As is common practice at some shipyards, the staff also obtained a young tree (below), which will remain aboard throughout the build process.

Generally speaking, “gran turismo” translates to sporty and curvy lines, much like those of sports cars. Each ISA Yachts megayacht bearing the series name has a signature element: arches connecting every deck aft. Even with that, the shipyard has joined forces with different design studios for these projects in recent years. For the 223-foot (68-meter) Gran Turismo 68M, the Vallicelli studio is handling styling. Notably, the two collaborated on what’s arguably the most famous ISA Gran Turismo, the yacht Okto.

Yet another studio responsible for previous ISA Yachts projects, Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design is tailoring the interiors with the owners. Naturally, another signature series element, a circular dining area aft on the main deck, is a highlight. So, too, are rooms where the owners and their guests can enjoy closer connection to the water. The beach area, for instance, sits right above the sea, off a fold-down platform to starboard. It’s like an extra living room/family room, complete with custom furnishings. The platform links to the fixed swim platform, creating walk-around access.

In keeping with the relaxation theme, a gym and a spa are accessible from the beach area. The owners of the ISA Gran Turismo 68M yacht further have requested four staterooms—two doubles and one twin—on this deck. Meanwhile, two more guest staterooms accompany the full-beam master suite on the main deck.

Catering to alfresco enjoyment, the owners have a swimming pool in the center of the main aft deck. Seating and sunning areas surround it to keep family and friends together. Although illustrations of this and other areas aboard aren’t available, ISA Yachts says the alfresco space is “spectacular.” Finally, a side-launching tender garage just forward and to port of the swim platform makes guest arrivals and departures eaiser.

Expected to cruise at 14 knots, this ISA Gran Turismo 68M yacht will see delivery in two years. A crew of 14 will take care of operations.

The keel-laying ceremony officially brings the number of ISA Yachts projects in build to 16.
